dying hair in pregnancy yes or no?

I can't handle this grey hair anymore! I'm 13 weeks and really want to dye it. What do you think? I'm going to check with my doctor of course. Just wanted to see what others have done.

I am a licensed cosmetologist and also 31 weeks pregnant. Coloring or lightening your hair is completely fine throughout pregnancy as our color today has very low ammonia levels and has a lot of conditioning ingredients. I would advise staying away from things like perms or harsher straightening treatments such as Brazilian Blowouts, keratin complex, or relaxers. Also as a professional in the salon every single day I would strongly stress to never put a henna dye on your hair. It's absolutely terrible for your hair. They never use the same chemicals when making it so there is no garuntee of what you're actually putting on your hair. Also it can not be removed. It must me cut or left to grow out. Please just talk to your stylist and let them know your concerns. As a professional they will guide you in the safest directions possible!!

My sister is a cosmetologist and she dyed her hair while she was pregnant both times. I waited until the second trimester though, just personal preference even though my doctor said it was okay as well.

A lot of people say not until after the first trimester but I dyed mine at 9 weeks and me and baby are just fine.
