FTM BIRTH STORY (ELECTIVE INDUCTION)

Went in for an elective Induction on Friday midnight 12/09/16. Started me on cytotec 3:30. I didn't progress from 1cm neither did my cervix thin out. So I was given another dose of cytotec after four hours. I started feeling painful contractions some minutes later but just ignored it thinking it's just nothing. The nurse didn't wanna check my cervix again till after four hours. I was in real serious pain after like 30mins. I began to cry cos of the pain. It was so much but I just felt it was still not the FAMOUS LABOUR PAIN. So I asked for pain relief. And I was given some in my IV which took the edge off and I slept through the pain although I also felt high. All of a sudden the pain began so badly again I told the nurse to please check me so that I know if my cervix is even thinned out or I have progressed to at least 2cm. When she checked me I was 7cm dialated. I quickly asked for the epidural and immediately the lady came in and gave me that good stuff and that really made me feel human again. Cos at some point I thought I was turning into an animal. Lol. Immediately I was given the epidural my water broke and I was actually startled and I made my nurse jump cos of how I was shocked. Lol. So I laid down feeling nothing. And I slept off. After like 3 hours I felt like I needed to poop but I knew it was not poop. Then it became so unbearable and I told the nurse how I felt and she checked me and I was 10cm dialated. My doctor came in and I pushed for like 20-25 mins and my baby girl came out. She weighed 6.7lbs and 18inches long.
