changer and crib???

Question

I cannot decide or begin to think about which one I want!!! I want opinions on having a changer and crib combo or getting them separate! The crib will be upstairs and the changer of seperate will be downstairs in the living room.

We got a dresser to use as a changing table, and we're just going to have a changing pad and supplies downstairs.

We refuse to buy a changer, waste of money for us. Will just put a changing pad on top of baby's dresser. Only buying furniture that she will still use when she's older.

You can get a pack and play with a built in changing table for downstairs, that's what we did.

We use her changing table all the time. But it's attached to the crib. It's the kind that can change as baby gets older so eventually it will become a bedside table. 
But you can always just get a changing pad and take that room to room so you don't always have to go upstairs to change her like we do.
I'd keep stuff downstairs but the pets would get to it, I'm sure of it

A change pad you can move around is more useful. I used it on top of a dresser until she was about 5 months. By then she was mobile and it was safer to change her on the floor.

I'd just buy a changing pad. I never used the changing table other than to store things.

I also had the crib and changing table combo that's attached. Baby isn't here yet but I love it. Especially since the nursery isn't a huge room. Plus at nice when they baby needs to be changed in the middle of the night it's right there. I wouldn't suggest putting the crib and changing table in separate rooms though. It's really going to depend on the person though because some people don't even really use changing tables much at all.
