traveling 6 hours away with a 3mo old?

Good or bad idea?
My BD is going to see his family (family my LO has yet to meet) and I suggested that he take her. He thinks it's a bad idea however I do not. He's bringing his cousin along with him.

Another question, we're separated and split our time with her. We don't have anything going yet legally. If we did, would he still have to take her if it was his turn or can he refuse not to whether or not I disagree or agree to watch her?

Babies that young are great during car rides. They sleep most the time! I did 12 hrs with a month old baby and he did just fine. We just stopped a few extra times to let him streatch.

I guess it depends how comfortable he is being alone with the baby for that long. A 6-hour trip can turn into quite a bit longer since you need to stop for feeding, diaper (and possible clothing changes). I would talk to him and find out if it's because he's nervous about doing it on his own (I understand cousin will be there, but not quite the same as you being there). Or if he's wanting to party or do a guy-trip and not be "saddled" with a baby.
