8 week ultrasound

I am 8 weeks 4 days today and had my first ultrasound done by the doctor. The baby measured normal but she was unable to find a heartbeat. Anybody had any experience like this and the baby was fine? They aren't able to fit me in for another ultrasound for another two weeks and I think the wait is going to be torture.
