Breast abscess and surgery

Today I had to have surgery to drain an abscess in my breast. Does anyone know if it will be ok if I don't feed or pump on that side for a few days, or would that cause my ducts to get clogged? I would hate for my ducts to get clogged again because that's how I got into this mess in the first place. Also they did not stitch up the incision site so my breast is covered in dressing. I already pumped once and had to pull up some of the dressing to do so, and now it seems like I might have a little blood seeping out... kinda gross but anyway just trying to find out if it's ok to not empty that breast for a while... any comments are appreciated.
