Someone once brought up the point of putting animals to sleep. We put dogs to sleep when they are old and in pain with no hope of recovery, why shouldn't humans be afforded the same? I wouldn't want my son and family to see me waste away, don't remember me that way.

Absolutely. Ive always firmly believed that no one should be forced to live if they dont want to.

I watched my nana die over months- waste away until she was just a shell of what she used to be. Keeping them around if they don't want that only benefits our conscience- not their quality of life... don't get me wrong I don't think family/friends have to do it... it should be decided between a person of sound mind and their doctor and then administered by said health professional.

I'm not sure. I mean people who are terminally ill and dying, I can see why they would want to just end their suffering. But it's hard for me because you're helping someone kill themselves, you know? Im conflicted about this one.

Terminal cancers and similar wasting away, I can understand, but there was just a guy in Denmark who did this for alcoholism. You'd rather die than get clean? Wow.
