chemical pregnancy

Hello.. I haven't had my period since September 29th.. took a lot of home pregnancy tests. All negative. Went to the doctor at the end of November and got a test there plus a blood test. Both negative. He told me I had what is called a chemical pregnancy... I found out I was pregnant and lost it in the same day :( has anyone else had this happen? :( I feel pretty devistated.. I still haven't gotten my period yet. I made another doctors appointment. Shouldn't I have gotten at least spotting by now?
