Did you go to prom?

Question

Did you go? What was your experience like? Did you feel it was necessary to go? It's my senior year. Debating on whether to go or if it's just cliché.

You should go! Mine was half a life ago, but I still remember it... all 7 that I went to during my junior & senior years of high school.

I was mostly friends with people from other schools, so I was going to skip mine b/c I had another school's prom to go to the same weekend & my boyfriend at the time was out of high school, plus he didn't go to my school. I'm glad I decided to go to my senior prom at my school too. I feel like I would have regretted it if I skipped my own, even though I had plenty of other prom experiences!

I was always shy in HS & never went to 1 dance (or maybe one but hardly enjoyed myself). Anyway, my closest friends literally forced me to go and I am so happy for those memories.
It really is true when they say prom & graduation are the best times of your (just beginning) life!
I would say GO!!! And take lots of pictures!!!

I didn't cause I had quit public school before then. I would go. Even if it is stupid at least you'll have that memory.

Junior year, I went with friends and had a blast even though I didn't want to go at first. Senior year(last year), I started dating my bf and he wasn't interested. I understood, and was ok with it since I already had my prom experience. We saved money and went on a Disneyland trip instead, which we felt was way more memorable😊

I would have but my boyfriend (now fiancé) was 21, so he couldn't get in lol. So I chose not to go cause I didn't want to share it with anyone other than him. I would go if you have the chance! Right before graduated, it kinda bummed me out, but ultimately, it didn't bother me a whole lot. Just for a few days, and then I was over it lol

I did not go to prom. Junior year my BF dumped me b4 prom n went to a chick at another school prom with her. Senior year him and I got back together I bought the tickets his tux and my dress, paid my portion of the limo and hotel room. The day b4 while getting my nails done I get a call from my mom saying her 3rd wedding to the guy she abandoned me and my brother for is the very same day as my senior prom. As  telling my mom I can't make it I get a text from my ex saying he's not feeling good he will call in the morning to pick me up.its now 12 non day of prom all the girls in my group are getting ready in the room my sister and her team doing everyone's hair and makeup. My BF still has yet to call me I'm now blowing his phone up because it's 30 min left till its time do go to the school n game pix b4 heading out. 15 minutes b4 it's time to leave for the Venu my ex text me saying he's got the flu n isn't coming. I was so mad I just went to my moms wedding in my prom dress . Luckily my cousin and I are close, she loved my dres and decided to take me to my prom n b my date. U fortunately we were late but I still got to party it up

I didnt go to prom and I really dont regret it. But the weekend after prom everyone gets hotel rooms along a boardwalk on the jerset shore and that was super fun

My junior prom was Amazing ! (Pink) but my senior prom (blue) on the other hand was a disaster. I had been in a Car accident a few months before so I wasn't sure if I was going and had to get a dress last minute and it poured down rain ! We didn't stay long!

i think you should definitely go especially since it's your senior year! it also depends on your date..and it's always a lot of fun to go with a group of friends. my boyfriend and i had the best time at prom!!

I went to prom and it was nice but I don't think it's necessary for a highschool experience. My prom was held in a hotel and since I ate before I went, I didn't even eat the food. Halfway through I got bored because I didn't like the music. So I went home early and changed then went back out into the city to different after parties with my friends. Hanging with my friends was more fun than prom itself. But that was just me. ☺
