5 week ultrasound and no baby??

Dr estimated em at 5 weeks only having sac and yolk sac no baby yet ... Is this normal?? Anyone else go in at 5 weeks n get only yolk sac?

This happened to me...nothing to be concerned with! The dr and ultrasound tech said 100% normal and no concerns at all. I saw the baby again a few weeks later with a strong heartbeat! This early the baby is just too small to pick up easily on an ultrasound. Try not to panic!

This hasn't personally happened to me, but I never had an ultrasound that early. I think it's pretty normal though to only see a yolk sack that early. Actually when I had my miscarriages the super early ultrasound didn't even show a yolk sack, so seeing a yolk sack in your ultrasound would be a positive thing I think. Try not to stress or worry. Yes it is completely normal! I had a scan at 5weeks & there was only three sack & the yolk then had a scan at 6weeks & you could see the heart beating! So don't worry it's just how small it is at 5weeks.
