Let me explain, my family is extremely religious, I was raised to believe sex before marriage is a sin, tattoos and piercings are the works of sinners, god didn't give you a body for you to ruin, all that fun stuff.

As years went by I started questioning my faith and leaning more towards science, I spend lots of time in museums. Till I stopped believing all together.

My boyfriend is a satanist, he's got a pentagram tattoo, and a ram tattoo, and piercings.

Four days ago when my family was decorating our tree my mom asked who was taking her manger set up that's been in the family for five generations. My siblings and I just sortve stood there. I accidently made a scoff noise. She whipped her head at me so fast I thought her neck was going to snap.

Then about five minutes later she asks me to put up this ornament I made in church 8 years ago. I told her no it's not going up. Which only pissed her off more so the entire night she keeps glaring at me

Today we're going to her side of the family's annual reunion. So she told me to go into her room and wrap the presents in the grey bag, I knew what they were. I go to her room and find a grey bag I open it, and inside is a religious movie, thinking it's for my little brother I think nothing of it. I find the right bag and as I'm wrapping the presents my cat comes in and knocks a notebook off the table. I pick it up and see "Christmas 2016" on the top of the paper with a list of my siblings and I's names. Underneath she listed the presents she was getting us. Curiosity got the better of me and I looked.

She's giving me the religious movie.

I'm appalled, I'm disgusted, I'm angry.

I'm glad my bf is getting a huge kick out of this :p
