Was your divorce/breakup of your first serious relationship unexpected?

I'm talking about your most serious relationship. Did you see it coming? Or did you 100% believe that you'd be together forever? Please comment your experience. Right now I feel like my boyfriend an I will be together forever and I can't see anything breaking us apart. I'm not worried, but I know things happen.

He cheated with his ex. He had her blocked on everything, and she didn't even know his number. I didn't think about her getting a new phone and then sneakily getting his new number from his friends. 😒 It was definitely unexpected, and heartbreaking.

Yes and no. I knew it would happen and it needed to happen but at the same time I was shocked when it actually did happen and we didn't get back together.

Nope not at all. We were extremely toxic for each other and dragged it out for five years. The divorce should of happened earlier not sure what made us stay together for so long.

Kind of, his parents were moving to Japan (air force) and my bf lovedddd anime, he talked about wanting to move there with them but out of nowhere one day he broke up with me so he could move to Japan with them
