How did you know he/she was THE one?

At one point or serious of points did you realize that this person was the one that you're meant to be with forever?

On our year anniversary. Months 7-11 were roughhhh. We were in our early 20's, broke, in college and long distance. It was so so hard. But we made it! I knew then he was who I wanted ride with forever.

I think I knew from the very beginning. I just didn't want to admit it to myself because I wanted to feel "in control".

I don't think there's a specific moment you can know that. But for me, it all came together when I realized that I was completely okay with all the annoying things he does. So many people want to change something about their significant others, but when you can fully accept someone for who they are and love everything about them, that's when you know.

When I realized I accepted all of him, even the things he does that drives me insane, or when he gets in these weird moods when he's a complete mope, or just plain silly, I feel very lucky to have him in my life.

Most girls try to change their bfs into who they want them to be whereas I love my boyfriend just the way he is.

We had been bestfriends for about two years before we dated and I had never had anyone that was there for me no matter what. Bad relationships etc. We started dating and I had a nightmare one night that he had died and I realized how hard it would be to live without him. I have never had to wonder if he loves me the way I love him. We are 100% compatible. And the biggest reason I know we are meant to be is that nobody else can handle us. We're both crazy.

I don't know about forever - things and people can always change. I'm a slow learner and have had to go through a few long relationships with guys who definitely were not the ones to know what love should feel like. Only because of them can I now appreciate what I have. It is easier to be around my bf than anyone else. He loves me on my good days and bad days. He's the one I can tell my worries to and share my triumphs with. When I'm with him I feel like home. ❤️
