5 weeks 3 days bleeding

We just got back from the hospital a few hours ago. Having such a scare and not sure what to make of it. Earlier tonight while I was laying on the couch, I felt a little gush in my underwear. I went to the bathroom and it was red blood. I passed one tiny clot and freaked. Absolutely no cramping and it was so out of the blue so we decided to go to the ER. Doctor ran labs and my HCG levels came back at 8490. Also did a transvaginal ultrasound and there was still a gestational sac and yolk sac. No heartbeat or fetal pole because I'm still to early. They noted that my gestational sac had an irregular shape. The day before all this happened we had our first OB appointment and he did a transvaginal US. My gestational sac was normal just one day before. Idk what to make of all of this. Basically ER doctor just advised me to follow up with my OB on Monday and rest. I'm going crazy! Has this happened to anyone? There's no blood on my pad, only when I wipe. No more clots and I haven't cramped at all! Hoping for good news :(.
