should I put tcc on hold

My husband and I have been tcc since we got married 4 months ago. However I now have an opportunity to change careers and am through to the final stage of being selected for the ambulance service. We want a family but this change of career is a fantastic opportunity and I'm not particularly happy in the job I am in now. Has anyone else decided to put things on hold or just continued trying. Thanks for your help xx
