Does my 10 week old hate naps so much? When we put him down he screams like someone is ripping his toenails out. It's absolute torture and makes me feel like a total failure as a parent.

Once your baby wakes up try rocking to sleep at the 60 min mark. Baby should be asleep at the 90 min mark, if they aren't asleep you missed the sleep window and baby can get over tired. Swaddle, rock, sway, swing, go on a walk, car ride, white noise and get baby to sleep. Anything longer than 10 mins is considered a nap and the 90 min window starts all over again.

Google "precious little sleep, swings". At five weeks mine stopped napping during the day no matter what I did. I could spend all day trying to get her to sleep for 20 minutes, I almost went crazy. Now she will sleep in her swing for 1-3 hours if I catch her before she's overtired. The key for us has been to put her down 75-80 minutes since she was last asleep, swaddle her, pacifier and super loud white noise with the swing on the highest setting. Yes, this is a habit we'll need to eventually break but it has saved my sanity. They also talk about how to slowly break the swing habit in the blog.

Um they can't self sooth.  You need to rock them to sleep or nurse them to sleep.  If they aren't staying asleep try putting them in something else, like their bouncy chair or swing.  Also try filling a sock with rice and heating it up in the microwave and put that with them so they stay warm.  Also, try a sleep sack to keep them warm.

My girl will nap in her crib, bouncy, or bassinet but usually just for an hour or so.  She prefers to sleep on people, which is completely normal.  Of course we will start sleep training at 4 to 6 months when she can fully self sooth but until then there will be lots of binge watching netflix on the couch with our sleepy baby.

So my baby was sleeping fine in his crib for a few weeks and all of a sudden it's like it's torture. I started getting super depressed and having terrible terrible thoughts. I would hide in the basement so I didn't have to hear it anymore and could just be alone since I already tried getting him to sleep for 40 mins plus. If anyone could shine some light on how to get him to atleast nap in his crib during the day, I will be forever grateful. We bedshare at night since he won't go in the crib now.

Mine does too. And he doesn't nap for longer than 20 minutes half the time
