Definitely not wanting to start dating any time soon, but when I do I'm torn on when to tell the guy I have a kid. I think it could easily scare someone off so is it better to get to know the person a little before dropping that on them?

I'm proud of my two sons. I'm a single mom and both of thei r father's left me. When I start dating again, I won't be hiding their existence.

Ive recently started dating again and Ive been on three dates so far, told all three of them straight up that I have a son who im in favour of. One of them turned out to be a single dad after I said this, who Im seeing again next week. I wanted to clear the air and set the record straight. Not only does telling them straight away take alot off your chest, but you have a better chance of finding the right guy who respects your priorities and lifestyle. Ive really found that doing this sifts through the 'bad eggs' so to speak. 😆

The longer your go the harder it will be to tell him. Plus it may hurt trust in your relationsip...kids are kind of a bugger deal than telling a guy you have a pet hamster.

Why start with not being totally honest Since the beginning. If he likes you it won't bother him. If it does then at least you wont waist your time being heart broken when he leaves cause you tell him you have a baby.
