So my 9 week old likes to suck on her hand she won't take a binki. Hubby doesn't want her to (hard habit to break) I say let her she is so young still. What do y'all think?

I've read hand is even better than paci. They can't drop it and it's always handy for them to self soothe. 😂

Sucking on hands is a growth/development milestone! It's a good thing! My 11w old does it and won't take a pacifier either.

If she sucks on her fingers she can learn to self soothe. Besides, she might just be starting to discover her fingers. Babies discover new things with their mouths most often.  My daughter is 9 weeks and started doing the same thing a week ago.

My baby girl is a thumb sucker won't take a paci either. I let her bc she van self soothe and comfort herself it definitely helps not to have to chase a paci around all the time. But then again I sucked my thumb until I was 12 yes old I ended up with a slight over bite. Hopefully my LO won't such hers that long!!

My little guy has never taken a soother and loves his hand! It's pretty easy for me though because he can self soothe and he can always find it!

My baby girl does both but she likes her hands better than the paci. I think it's fine! My mil freaked out and was like that's bad she's going to be a thumb sucker- umm no she's fine.
