Has anyone had their gallbladder removed?

I've been experiencing dull pain under my rib cage and it's only getting worse. I couldn't even eat my breakfast this morning because of the pain. What were your symptoms? Should I be concerned?

I have had mine removed. When my attacks hit it was absolutely unbearable. At time I was literrally in the floor in fetal position rocking.  The pressure would start middle of bacm and work it's way up to between my shoulder blades. Also would wrap around under my ribs and chest. Felt like the hugest gas bubble you could poasible imagine just growing inside causing pressure. H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E is an understament. Would also be accompanied by vomiting.

Which side is the pain on? If it's your right side, could be gallbladder. Usually the pain will be worse after eating, and may make you feel nauseous. It may radiate to your back as well. If it's on the left side, it might be something else. Best to go to the doctor soon before it gets worse.
