I started bleeding over the weekend. This morning when I woke up it got a lot worse and I was in a lot of pain. I went to the ER and they got me in with an OB. The doc agrees with me that I am probably around 6 weeks instead of 8 like we initially thought. Anyway, he did an ultrasound and didn't find a sac. He said it might still be a little too early to see anything but that I'm likely experiencing a miscarriage. I do have a tilted uterus which may also make it difficult to see things. Anyway, I'm going to have to go back in a couple days to see if my hcg levels have doubled. I'm not too surprised by this prognosis, but it's still disappointing. I'm clinging on to every ounce of hope I have left but I'm also trying to be realistic.
