If you don't want to be with someone it isn't just cruel to wait to tell them but also cruel to yourself!

I broke up with someone right before Christmas once and felt awful. But it would've been worse to wait till after since he got me a gift lolol. We were only together for a month though.

In a long term relationship I'd feel worse breaking up during the holidays and would honestly wait till after.
