Stacked contractions

Anyone else experiencing stacked contractions? Many of the contractions I have been having in the last 12 hours or so have been up to 5 minutes long. The nurse at maternity mentioned that it is 2-3 contractions that stack on top of each other so just feels like one really long one. I have been having contractions/early labour for about 47 hours now. Luckily the Dr. thinks we are moving into the active labour phase pretty soon now as per when I was last checked about 12 hours ago and was 3 cm. It took me about 36 hours to go from 0 to 3 cm (lucky me that it takes so long lol)
