is it hard?

Is it hard going to school and working?! I'm a college student going into my 4th semester in January. I go to community college and I'll be taking 4 classes overall in January. I wanted to know is it hard going to school & working?!? Or does it really depend? I get good grades and I'm on the honor roll by the way. So I really think I'm responsible enough to do both at the same time. I got a job at a nursing home right down the street from my school as a CNA. Which I think would be great since I'm in the nursing field. I think it'll be good to get experience. Also the job knows I only want part time so their giving me that. What do you all think?

It is but that's just being an adult. I worked when I was full time in college at UC Davis and then I worked while still taking classes and planning my wedding and helping my then fiance build our house lol it's totally possible. You just have to budget time very wisely.

My last semester I took 18 hours and worked 30 hours a week. It's not that hard, especially if you have the kind of job that will let you work on homework in your down time.

I work with a few college kids. It really depends on how many classes you are taking, what part of the day you are taking them, how the job you are working can work you around your classes, and how you personally do with being able to balance both.

I worked at McDonald's through college and they were really good. I told them days I could work and they would give me shifts to suit me.

Really just depends. My quarter just ended but I condensed my classes to just Wednesday and Thursday so I could work Monday Tuesday Friday Saturday and Sunday. Anything other than that and not many places would take my availablility 😅

If you are only working part time you should be fine. Just stay organized and keep your priorities straight.

When I was in college (way back when) I was taking 26 credits a semester, working 30hours a week, and singing with two opera companies. I didn't sleep much, but I did it, with honors. Looking back though I can't really tell you how. I also maintained a serious relationship during that time that lasted far after college.

The answer is that if you want to, you can do almost anything. I needed to work to pay for school. I didn't want it to take 6 years to get my degree like the other students. I paid my own way as I was estranged from my parents so the faster I got it done, the less debt I was in. You do what you have to when it's necessary.

If you are only taking four credit hours, it shouldn't be that bad. My schools minimum was 12 hours to be full time. I always took 12 hours and worked part time. I did fine. Just don't let your self get behind on any of the homework, and don't skip class lol

I worked full-time while in college full-time. Hubby did the same thing. We were retail managers and had flexible schedules that worked with our school schedules. We also had two children while in undergrad. We also worked our way through our Master's programs. Hubby did it when we had 3 kids, I did it when we had 4 kids.
