controlling?

Hello! I'm 16 and I have been dating my boyfriend for 2 years. He makes me block/unfollow every guy that he doesn't like, even if I'm friends with them. We broke up 2 months ago but are starting to flirt with eachother again. He takes my phone and looks though everything and says "if we are going to be a thing again I get to see who your friends with in Snapchat." He also says I ALWAYS have to have my butt covered and won't talk to me if it's not. I really love him but I don't think I want to get back together with someone who is so controlling. Any advice ???

My first "love" aka the father of my son (married now to a wonderful man who my son has to look up to) used to be exactly like this. I started dating him when I was 14 and it was great at first, but then he started going through my phone making me delete people.. this continued to go on. Even to the point where he would get mad if a family member (my mom or dad for example) would call me and would threaten to leave me if I answered the phone!! Like wtf dude I am 14-15years old I have to answer the phone when my parents call me. I was with him until I was 16 (that's when I found out I was pregnant) at this point he would bash my head into walls and throw me on the ground. He drug me on the street outside my house because I wouldn't get into the car that he was driving so close to me that it was touching the back of my legs I WAS 4 MONTHS PREGNANT!! eventually he left me because I was to scared to leave him and he ended up getting another girl pregnant when I was about 5 months along!! Moral of the story is ALWAYS watch out for red flags and jealousy or being insecure if definitely a huge red flag.. it can seem like he's just "protecting his girl" but it can turn ugly real fast. That's not how a relationship should be at all. In my opinion you should either talk to him and tell him you don't like that behavior and don't wanna be together if that's how he's gonna be or find someone better.

Big red flag here. If you are uncertain if you should be w him again. Please listen to your gut. Its never wrong!  I wished I listened back then. I spent two yeatswin violently abusive relationship w someone i was madly in love w. I thought i could save him, but only God can save. . . it started w the same controlling stuff ur experiencing, back n forth break ups and flirting. Few months later he was beating the pulp out of me. Ask urself, if your lil sister or cousin or friend came to you w the exact same concern. What would u tell her? What advice would you give? Honestly? And if your answer is to leave and never turn back than thats the only advice you need sweetie. Trust me it was hard but surely as the sunrises every morning even on cloudy days, God saved ME and I survived DV and Im engages to be married to my daughter's father _I call him my husband bc he is) and we are expecting our second.
