I am considering getting a hormonal IUD, but I'm really scared... I am considering getting it because The Pill has caused a lot of negative side affects for me and I have to get it on a monthly basis. The IUD would make things way easier and convenient and my insurance will cover 100%. I'm scared that it will hurt getting it, I've heard children who are conceived by women who have IUDs are deformed or have disabilities, and I'm scared that something will go wrong when it's in me... can someone give me their experience? Also, could your partner (male) feel the string and did it cause discomfort for him during sex?
