First bikini wax

Ok, I read all of the post and got as much info on Brazilian waxing as I could and felt very informed. But I was not prepared on how much it would hurt! I only got like half way done (meaning the front half) and I had to ask the lady to stop. Should I go back and get it finished this week or should I stick to shaving for now? Help!
