Men's jacket to match Dickies pants?

My husband dresses super plainly: solid, neutral-colored Hanes T-shirts, Dickies pants or shorts, no logos, no patterns, nothing. For his birthday this month, I got him a couple pairs of Dickies pants, and he needs a jacket that doesn't have a hood. (He wants to be able to wear a hoodie under the jacket if he wants.) I know he would like a leather jacket, but I'm thinking that will look weird with Dickies (his jeans don't fit him anymore, so he only has Dickies). Any suggestions for a jacket that would go with Dickies pants? I don't want to get him a Dickies jacket b/c then he'll just look like a big poof, like the Michelin  Man. 😕
