not clicking with my midwife

Renee
What is a typical Dr appt supposed to be like? I'm almost 33 weeks and feel like my midwife really brushes me off knowing I'm a FTM. Each appt she measures my belly, does the doppler, asks how I feel, and sends me on my way. Never tells me how baby measures or anything unless I ask, and even then, she's very vague. When I tell her I've had cramps but assume they're normal, she just says yes, I'm fine, and that's it. I thought I was going to get a more personable experience with a midwife, but instead feel like I'm being talked down to like a child anytime I say I'm having cramps or have a concern. My husband has been to appts with me and has also noticed how she midwife talks down to me. We haven't discussed signs of labor, what to expect at delivery, etc.. I'm 33 weeks though and not sure if it's worth looking for a new doctor. If I were earlier in my pregnancy, I would probably just look for a new doc, but I feel like it's almost too late now.
