First Scan at 11 weeks

I went to see a dr today, at 5 weeks 2 days, just to get the ball rolling on what appointments I need to set up. I had surgery for endometriosis in May so got a referral back to that surgeon. I was told to be seen on Jan 30th, I will be 11 weeks then, is that too long to wait for a first scan? Besides the fact I don't want to wait that long to make sure everything is fine, I wasn't sent for a blood test or anything. Especially concerned due to my condition...
