Zantac for Reflux

Any suggestions for getting your LO to take Zantac? Mine spits it out or chokes and spits up. I've tried slowly squirting it into the back of his cheek, pinching his cheeks, and blowing on his face. Also tried to give in a nipple. Nothing works so far! He hates it. We are formula feeding.
