When to start ovulation tests?

I have never used ovulation kits before. I just started my period today. When should I start ovulation tests?

I usually start testing a day or two after I stop bleeding!

For your first cycle with opks start testing the day after you stop bleeding. Test every day till you get a peak and for several days after to see the progression. I recommend repeating this until you know if you have a consistent cycle length and fertile time frame. Then you can test just the 5 days around that time. I just started using cheapie dipstick style opks I ordered from Amazon, easy@home brand. Less than $20 for 50 opks and 25 hpts. Amazing deal effective tests. Good luck.

I'm starting day 8 of my cycle bc last month I missed my ovulation as I started day 12, which I ovulated day 12 and I know as I also tracked by bbt and it clearly showed me I ovulated day 12 😩. I'm not missing this time
