Soap in the sheets!

I've suffered from restless legs (RLS) pretty much my entire life and it often impacts my ability to get a good night's sleep. With my first pregnancy, I noticed my long time symptoms greatly intensified towards the middle of my third trimester and it was horrible. For weeks, my husband literally had to rub my legs for hours every night until I could fall asleep- SO. MANY. TEARS. This time around, I was dreading the inevitable and, at about 26 weeks (earlier than last time), I found myself in the same boat and literally terrified about the 14 weeks ahead and the sleepless nights I knew were coming. Today, at 28+2, I asked my doctor out of desperation if ANYTHING could safely be done in pregnancy to address the problem. She immediately and confidently instructed me to go to the store and buy a bar of Ivory brand bar soap and place it under my sheets. I think I looked at her like she was nuts- but I found myself at Target 20 minutes later with my soap! Has anyone else ever tried this? I'm reading about it and it's a surprisingly popular home/natural remedy. Just hopped into bed with an unwrapped bar tucked under my bottom sheet 😂 wish me luck!
