bartenders?

If anyone here is a bartender, how is it? Good money? Do you get paid only tips? Do you get rude drunks a lot? How hard is it? Thanks in advance ☺

You have to have a lot of patience & be a "people person".. & be good at multi-tasking. Even though I consider myself to have these qualities, I HATED bartending!

Yes, I made a good amount of money in tips & was also paid a low hourly wage. YES, there were always rude drunks, at least where I worked.

My son's dad owns a bar & chooses to bartend, even though he doesn't need to... so maybe it just wasn't the right fit for me! He loves it, even after 15 years of doing it!

You make lots of money! But if you can't work under pressure or multi task a crazy amount - the job isn't for you.

I did bartending for a while and loved it! Tips are great but then again that depends on you. Whoever's hiring you should pay either a flat day rate or hourly. You do get rude drunks but mostly just flirtatious ones lol.
