Prostate cancer?? 😥😰😓

So recently my dad just dropped the news on us and the doctor has found a prostate in his area. But it's not exactly spreaded out yet, it's just in a spot for right now and rather than getting the prostate removed by undergoing surgery he's choosing to go through chemo. Can you guys please tell me what option would be the best for him? Could I loose my dad to this horrible disease even though it's at its first stage? Could he beat it? Someone help me, I'm in such a negative mind state and my heart is heavy. All I need is for someone other than my dad to tell me it's going to be okay.
