It's pretty much the worst feeling. Everytime I try to scream so hard and it's just really scary because I can't even control my breathing. It's crazy.

Get it frequently. It started when I started to get anxiety. It's scary and don't like sleeping because I'm afraid I'll get it. I want to wake up but I feel something pushing my down. So freaky.

I get sleep paralysis maybe one or twice a year. Scares me when it happens, there is always a demon type creature coming towards me or holding me down. I can still feel my partner beside me and I try to wake him and scream for help but as usual I can't make a sound. But after reading up about it and knowing you can control it, I try and relax and fall back asleep which usually works. It does feel like a scary movie, more like a paranormal type movie for me.
Pretty cool that you can make it happen on purpose but that wouldn't be my cup of tea.. Would rather it not happen.haha

I am so excited to see a topic on this!! Sometimes I'll experience it 2-5 times per week, other times I'm safe in my sleep. When it does occur, it ALWAYS happens when I'm first trying to fall asleep. I can instantly recognize it happening so try to move my head/body to snap back but sometimes it feels like I'm stuck in cement. I too have thought I was screaming at my SO or grabbing him to help when in reality I was just laying there, screaming in silence. I've never seen anything like a demon when experiencing this. However, one time when it was happening I started hearing an overwhelming static, like on a radio and then some alien voice come through and I swear I saw myself going out of the window. Luckily I came back to wakefulness but it scared the living hell out of me. Even though I've been dealing with it for so long, I still instantly panic when I know it's coming because you just never know what will happen....such a crazy phenomenon.

I had not had this happen for about 10 years and then last week someone brought it up and guess what, 2 days later it happened to me. Mine always start with me seeing a bright light or feeling heat in my face. I always feel like someone is laying on me or pinning me down and it's horrible. As I'm writing this I'm praying this won't trigger another episode

Yes! So funny this comes up now. I have had sleep paralysis since I was a little girl. I used to talk lots in my sleep and have sleepwalked as well so it's safe to say my sleeping is a bit weird. A few weeks ago I had a sleep hallucination which is related to sleep paralysis. I was feeding my LO late at night and had half drifted off and then woke to see a massive spider on the ceiling. Screamed and got my SO from the other room only to find out there was nothing there..... happened again a week later and just the other day I half dozed off when feeding my baby in bed and I woke up to an ant crawling on her head. There was no ant. Apparently spiders and ants are very common hallucinations. Yay.

yep I got stuck literally couldn't move or open my mouth I saw snakes coming towards me but then I was in the bath but I wasn't I was stuck on the bed and when I snapped out of it I fell asleep and realised in the morning . scariest feeling .

I'm still trying, but with a 2 month old baby it's kind of hard. I just snap out of it, but I pray to snap out of it I feel like I have to since it feels so scary almost like there's evil around me at that time. I hope to later on
