Easy birth!

My water broke at 9:12 pm as I was cooking dinner for my boyfriend, who works the night shift. He thought I was joking around. I called my mom immediately and then the Dr, took a shower and grabbed the last few things that weren't in my bag yet. This was Friday night and we were scheduled for induction early Sunday morning, but somebody else had her own plans. We got to the hospital an hour later still with no contractions. They wanted to check me for amniotic fluid and eventually, at 2 am, got some oxytocin started to help me along. I had only 5 hrs 40 min of labor and 20 min of pushing!! My goal was a 5 hr labor, so not bad!! I believe I lucked out with a shorter labor because I worked out during my entire pregnancy and I chose not to have an epidural. Giuliana Milan was born promptly at 8:00 am, 4 days before her due date, at 6.5 pounds and 20 inches long. She looks like mommy and acts like daddy, lol. My boyfriend and my sister said I made it look easy, lol, it definitely wasn't THAT easy. It was more than worth it though. I'm almost 3 weeks into recovery and it seems to be going really well!
