I had a miscarriage 19 days ago and the at home still shows positive

I'm wondering this means I need a D&C. I had a miscarriage on December 5th and wanted to take a pregnancy test to see the negative. I read online that it takes 19 days for the hormones to work their way out of my system. And it didn't show negative. My husband read that it could mean I need a D&C. I can't call my OB till Tuesday because of the holidays. Does anyone have any ideas?
