Does anyone else buy baby clothes and items even though go there not pregnant (yet)

My partner and friends really find it weird and a bad omen to buy baby clothes before iv actually conceived iv been trying for four months and I'm just too excited when I see adorable little blankets and clothes I keep buying them , is this strange ?

I had a friend who had infertility,  but she was certain God would bless them with a child eventually.  So she bought things,  all the time.  She threw baby showers for all the expectant mom's and she was a blessing to everybody and never let on about their struggle.  10+ years after starting,  she got pregnant.  
Buy what you want and bless others with gifts and joy while you wait!

My family have a high rate of miscarriages and some fertility issues so my mum always says not to jinx ourselves and wait until the 2nd trimester to buy anything in our family.

We are actively trying and I'm always hunting for a good deal so I've considered buying a few little things on clearance. Since we are on clomid, I'm watching certain items on Amazon for sales or clearance and if they drop low enough I'll go ahead and buy them. Worst case scenario I end up donating to charity or other moms in need. But I'd rather buy stuff on sale and get a good deal than worry about appearances and have to pay full price for stuff later.
