what is going on??

My period is almost 10 days late but the test is negative... stress has been pretty rough with 2 deaths in the family... right before the holidays... but I was fine in November...now things are much more calm... My period for  December... I'm almost 10 days late... and we aren't seeing a hint of pregnancy positive results.... any ideas when should I call the highly overloaded OBGYN doctor???
