Steroid and antibiotic before FET?

Question

Can anyone explain the reason for the steroid (Medrol) and antibiotic (Doxycycline) before FET? I bombarded my RE with questions and this slipped my mind.

Every RE is different but doxycycline is not traditional prior to an FET. At my practice we do antibiotics before diagnostic hysteroscopies and retrievals but not FETs. The steroid is to reduce inflammation and prepare the uterus for implantation. Hope that helps!
