Any October Moms Going Back to Work Next Week?

I start back at work next week and i'm having major anxiety over it. I started my LO at daycare last week to get her and myself used to being away from one another but it has been SO HARD!! I can't imagine being away 8+ hours each day. I'm so upset. For those that are already back or who have done this before...any words of advice to make this easier??

Hey there!!! I'm on Day 2 of daycare and the first day is the freaking hardest. You'll be sobbing all day and freaking out BUT what helped me was calling randomly to check in on her and when I picked her up she was cooing and smiling with her teacher! (11 weeks old). She was the same when I dropped her off this more - now I'm just dealing with jealousy she'll like her teacher more than me haha! ... but on day2 and I feel so much better and I know every day will keep feeling that way 💕 hang in there!! Remember there's a million of us going through it now

I go back next week but making daddy stay home for one week so I can adjust to work before adjusting to daycare too. I'm looking forward to routine and life outside of pajamas but will miss my baby's smiling face all day.

Yes I go back next week :( my mom is watching my son but I'm still so sad. I just try not to think about it and enjoy the last few days home with him.

I start next week. I am okay though only because I will be starting a new job at the daycare where my
Son will be attending. It's been a total life changing decision.
I worked so hard to put myself
Through school, I earned my
Masters degree last year and was working for the state as a reunification coordinator for child services. (Helping moms get their children back out of foster care). I was starting my professional career. Has my baby and my heart hurt at the thought of leaving him. My fiancé and I don't have any family nearby so daycare was our only option.
I applied to work at all the daycare centers near my home..
Kept getting the you're over qualified but one accepted me... And he'll be attending too so I'm okay. Salary cut in half.. But no amount of money would give me peace of mind. Going to stay with him until he's 1....

I've been back 2 weeks and it hasn't gotten any easier. I'm away from her for 11 hours and with the amount of time she sleeps overnight I literally get to feed her and get her dressed in the morning, and feed her and put her to bed after work. Maybe a few minutes of playing before bed but she's overtired and overstimulated by the time she's home so she rarely wants to do anything but eat and go to sleep.

I'm dreading it.  I go back full time 1/18 and she goes to daycare.  I work 4 10 hour days, so long.  I feel heartbroken to leave her.

Yes... I go back on 1/2. Dreading!! Sometimes I just go get baby when she's sleeping just to cuddle. I need it just as much as she does right now if not more!

I went back to work Dec 12th I had my baby Oct 9th the first day back was the hardest I cried pulling off but while driving I just thought about all the positive things that have happened since becoming a mom and it will get easier I do miss her but once I get home we cuddle alot

I went back 1.5 weeks before Christmas break (I'm a teacher), then I had two weeks off and I'll be going back again Monday. This is my second child though. It isn't any easier, but I guess I'm pretty good at compartmentalizing. I'm so busy at work I honestly don't have much time to think about it (except pumping at lunch) and when I'm home I don't do work (unless it's the very last option). Honestly - I hate to tell you this, but for me it got harder to leave him the older he got (my first) and the more personality he had. I missed him more then than when he was an infant.

I don't go back until the 9th but I am less than thrilled. It's not even just having her go to daycare all day, it's also the fact that I would much rather be home with her than going to work, especially as she gets older. I hate working. I know that probably goes against the whole feminist thing and everyone thinking women need to want careers but I would much rather be a house wife than work and I have a feeling my first day back after 12 weeks I'm just going to be worried and distracted about my baby as well as in a horrible mood because I'll be back in my cubicle talking all day long to people in the phone who yell at me. Oh joy 😩
