baby party?

Is anybody else having a meet and greet once the baby arrives? We are thinking around the 6 or 8 week mark? We're not having a baby shower, because we don't like asking for gifts, so this would just be an opportunity for people to get together and say "hi!" to our little guy. Thoughts?

I would never do a meet and greet because because i hate the thought of everyone passing my baby around plus my partner's family is always super loud and i know they wouldnt be very respectful of any look but dont touch rule. For us, it really just wouldnt work out and i know i would just be stressed out the whole time. Thats not to say that it wont work out for you, good luck!

We plan to go visit NJ (where we're both from) about 2&1/2 months after our daughter is born. We still have SO many friends and family there we are planning to do like an open house for people to drop by and meet our daughter one day. Otherwise we will miss seeing so many people.

I'm planning to do a meet & greet after we get out the hospital , I'm not in the mood to have anyone but my boyfriend when we are delivering .. but I haven't confirmed it yet with him yet hoping he still agrees with me.
