Experience of Surgical Management of a Miscarriage?

I've got my SMM procedure booked for tomorrow. Just wondering what we're other women's experience?
How long did you bleed for afterwards?
Did you'd have any pain?
How long did you wait to have sex?
How long did you wait to take a pregnant test & when did you get a negative?
Is it higher risk to get pregnant on the first cycle, should you use condoms until you have a period?

Hello, sorry for your loss, I bleed for two and half weeks but not badly, they say to wait 2 weeks before sex with condom, & advice you to wait a cycle before trying again x

Just had my D&C in November bled lightly for 2 weeks doctor said I could start trying again when I had my post op which was 2 weeks after my surgery as long as I felt emotionally ready to.

Thanks, it was the worst experience of my life but mostly because the hospital was so understaffed and communication seemed to be an issue. I was on the emergency list for my surgery meaning any more urgent surgerys would go before me (C sections etc) we were thee 12 hours for a 15 minute procedure! I was so mad and upset.
I'm just glad it's all over, I'm not in any pain & the bleeding is much less than I thought.
