I was 19 and married when I had my oldest son.  When I told my mom, she was pissed.  Just understand any negative reaction is out of fear for THEIR baby (you!!).  Once the baby is born, they will adore him/her.  Also, make sure you have a life plan to share with them.

I'm 12 weeks. This one is with my boyfriend, who proposed in Christmas with all our family around. They were shocked with all my health issues but are happy!

Telling my mom when I was 19 was one of the scariest things I ever did. She was so strict and warned me my entire teenage years of pregnancy. I finally told her and she was pissed. She said everything under the sun to me and was really cold towards me until I got really sad mid pregnancy and her compassion started setting in. She was still upset, scared & worried but I guess controlled it better. After my daughter was born my mom says she knew what real love was. They will be obsessed with their grand baby. A baby they can spoil and love unconditionally. You were their responsibility but this grandchild will be pure joy & freedom to love without being worried about spoiling their character, ya know? Back in June we had our first pregnancy both family members were happy for us! We had a rough time after because we lost the pregnancy and we left eachother 😒... but we eventually got back together and got engaged and then litterally found out we were def preg again a week later at the doctors! I don't know why I'm so afraid to tell my parents this time because the last time I wasn't at all... his parents know and are happy , a few of my friends know and are happy! I guess I'm afraid of disappointing my mom and dad who I'm sure we're hoping for marriage first?! But I'm 33 years old and as told by my doctor because of my medical conditions that I shouldn't wait ... maybe I'm afraid of something bad happening again and I don't want to get everyone excited and upset again also.... I'm overwhelmed lol

Happened to me at 21. I was away at college aaaand I sent my mom an email haha!! My parents are very accepting and open so it wasn't a huge deal. Sure they were disappointed but cest la vie. My partner and I have been together now for almost 10 years. We're still not married and are having our 2nd.

I'm in the same situation! My DB and I planned to get married our entire relationship. I'm 10+5 weeks pregnant and I announced to my parents on Christmas and they were so so excited! They finally get to be grandparents! My DB parents on the other hand.... we haven't told them and we're gonna wait as long as possible to tell them. His dad is going to be angry and his mom will be happy but maybe disappointed. They already have 5+ grandkids and been through it already. We still need to move out and get our own place. I'm 25 and my DB is 24 but we've been struggling with money and finding an affordable place to live. My dad is waiting for my DB to propose to me as well and is irritated he hasn't yet hahahha but my DB has plans to do it soon :). So that's my experience. My parents were happy but I think we'll wait till we move out till we tell his parents. His parents tend not be supportive of anything though really hahah so oh well. I couldn't care less.

I have a similar problem but a bit more complicated. Firstly. I don't live in the same country as my parents. 2nd. They don't even know that I'm in a relationship with anyone (have been for 2 years) im 28 years old and not married. Although we are planning on making some marriage arrangements. I don't know how to break the news. Do i call them via Skype? Do I write them a long email? I honestly don't know. My dad always said his biggest fear is me getting pregnant while living abroad. They are a bit more conservative and my mom tends to freak out about stuff without thinking first about the consequences of her reaction. I wanna share the ultrasounds with them so badly cause the last one I had was so adorable with baby kicking his legs. I feel like it's something an only daughter should be sharing with her mom. I just don't know how to tell them and when to tell them. I'm already 11 weeks so time is going by and I still don't know. The longer I wait the angrier they will be for keeping such a big secret. I just don't know how to do it? Any advice? Anyone ever been i. Similar position? It's not like I can meet them in person and calmly talk about it.
