Monistat 7 during first trimester?

Does anyone know if it's okay to use? Called OB office and the lady said she asked the midwife that was there. She said to use monistat 7. We've already ruled out STDs. I do think it's a yeast infection that I'm currently experiencing. Any advice of experience using it during first trimester is welcomed!
