Umbilical stump infected?

My daughter is 2 weeks old and her umbilical stump bleeds 😕 it's slowly detaching from the sides so all that's left is the center part of it. I just worry the bleeding could be an infection. Anyone else's baby's cord stump look like this?

My NICU nurse told me to use a alcohol swab to clean, it dries it up and to not use water because it stays wet and will cause infection.

There was a little bit of blood that came off with my baby's stump last night. Ugh and it stunk so bad! But once it fell off, it looked normal, whatever was oozing dried up. There was some ooze and blood on her onesie, not a lot, just a little bit, kinda like when a scab falls off. If it continues to bleed then I'd call about it, but I think it's fairly normal

It doesn't look infected to me, but absolutely no harm contact in your pediatrician.  Omphalitis is rare but dangerous.

My baby had a bleeding umbilical chord too.  The doctor told us to first use a q-tip to put hydrogen peroxide on it and then use a q-tip to dry it off and then use another q-tip with rubbing alcohol on it and then let it dry on its own.  If you notice it continuous to bleed later after that, call your pediatrician and let them know so they can cauterize it.  (That's what had to happen with my baby...she cried for like two seconds and then was over it!)

It's going to smell a little bit because it's rotting flesh... don't put anything on it, and let it air out as much as possible (no clothes over top of it). If it's not pussy and oozing it's probably fine. Also do not get it wet because that will cause problems. Our nurse told us to gently wipe around the outside of the belly button with a wipe but not to get the stump wet.

While we were in nicu his cord bled from time to time. Due to rubbing from the diaper/clothes and they said it was totally normal for it to bleed from it.

Not a dr but I would say it's infected if the skin around it is pink or red, hard to tell from the picture.  I would just use a wash cloth with warm water and wipe around the area a few times at diaper changes.
