washing machine?

Ladies help I did three loads of laundry today and on the last one when I thought it was done I went to take it out and put it in the drier but come to find out it never drained and no matter what it refuses to drain. And I have no idea what to do, have any of y'all had this problem what did you do???

Is it a front loader? If so, on the bottom (front) theres a filter thats supposed to be cleaned every few months. Grab a cookie sheet to catch the water thatll come out and extra towels. Happened to me before

Check the small pipe hole at the bottom. There may b a blockage. You often have to screw the top off

I've tried everything now when I turned it back on it started smelling like something was burning so I turned it completely off, I'm just gonna leave it alone for a little bit. At least it was the load with only towels lol

Any chance that whatever is inside is too heavy so it won't spin and drain?
Try removing half i had this before...

I've had this problem before. My mom had me restart the wash cycle and it went down

If you know where the overflow pipe is ouside where the water drains you can check it and make sure there's no leaves or anything plugging it.  
Otherwise call maintanance if you rent, the washing machine company if you have a warranty- or not b/c they may be able to direct you to someone who can service it in your area.

I had the opposite problem where the water wouldn't stay in the machine and came out as I tried to fill it up. We had to call somebody to fix it and they said one of our pipes burst so maybe one of the pipes might be blocked?
