how do women deal with PCOS?

I'm 27 years old and I have PCOS. I probably been wanting to have a child since I probably was younger. Now that I'm getting older and I still haven't had a child it's like, I want one even more. In on birth control pills just so I can have periods because if I'm not on them then I won't have a period.  I'm not a fan of birth control pills never really took them even when I was younger. I just hate pills! I had ovarian cysts removed and now I'm stuck with PCOS. I want a child but it seems very far.My boyfriend has kids and sometimes I feel like something is missing for us to grow stronger. I think a kid will bring us closer but with my personal issues with my body I don't think I'll ever be able to conceive.

I have PCOS too. I have 7 fibroids and my cyst burst last year. I was told it was very likely that I was infertile. I've had extremely heavy periods with horrible clotting and severe pain since I was 12. After a year of trying I had the same feeling, I just knew that I wasn't able to... Dr's said I probably couldn't, if I did I would be very likely to miscarriage and if I didn't I will absolutely require a c-section. Well, I'm pregnant so never give up! I'm having bad back pain and some spotting so we have requested an early Dr evaluation next week, fingers crossed all is well! Please don't let PCOS poison your mind, it's not the all or nothing. Sending prayers and baby dust your way. <3

PCOS is horrible however the biggest thing is to not let it control you. You can get pregnant, it won't be easy and you'll have set backs. First I would talk to a doctor and tell them you're serious about getting pregnant. They can start a fertility plan for you. Also cut out gluten and dairy from your diet. I have PCOS and I read up about how bad gluten and dairy is for someone with PCOS and I'm quitting. Already just a few days in of no gluten and dairy I feel more energized which is something I haven't had since before PCOS. So talk to a doctor, start a healthy lifestyle and more importantly talk to your significant other. There's nothing wrong with wanting a baby, but a baby won't mend your relationships. I have pcos & i have a little baby boy .. we've started for the 2nd baby !! dont lose hope its possible. I got pregnant with clomid 100mg. Have you tried clomid ?
