Have you ever tasted your period blood?

I know it sounds crazy but one time I was bleeding really heavy and got some blood on my hand and had the urge to lick it off. Of course, like I do with all of my urges that time of the month, I did it and it just tasted like normal blood. I was just wondering if anyone else has done that.

Yes I have but by complete accident. So me and my SO were getting intimate and he resurfaced to kiss me, not knowing I'd started my period. Unfortunately wetness and period kinda both feel the same. Luckily my SO is amazing with periods so we got cleaned up, had a cup of tea and he got me a hot water bottle
