Today my husband got news that his grandmother had a stoke and was in the hospital unable to speak or move her right arm. When he got this phone call he started crying I hugged him and held his hand while he cried. My 9 year old step daughter started laughing. I pulled him away into our bedroom and sat with him for a few minutes. (I didn't want him to see his daughter laughing) I later went in her room and explained how it wasn't nice for her to laugh while her father was hurting. I asked her would you like if I laughed while you were upset. She shrugged her shoulders and said no. I explained what happened to her great grandma and she just twisted her mouth and said nothing. Then she called her mother to tell her everything. How would you feel in this situation if you were me? What would you have done, honestly?
